A Close Combat Clasp, Gold Grade, 1957 Version consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac maker marked "G1" on the(Nahkampfspange in Gold). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a central square oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, set over a magnetic iron backplate, flanked on each side by four oak leaves and sun rays with two acorns, the reverse with a barrel hinge and tapering horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 96. 90 mm (w) x 25. 47 mm (h), weighing 33. 1 grams, in extremely fine
