Primitive Wooden Handle Field Scythe vaccination This piece was initially aA primitve scythe with a detachable blade. This scythe blade exhibits significant oxidation and is loose in retaining ring, ring does not set into recess and or there may have been a shim present for final tightening. White smudge on end of handle in middle of haft. Handles are smooth, while haft is of a rougher texture. Seems as if it is well balanced. Piece is overall in good condtion for display. Measures with blade attached laying on table: 56. 5"
