Instituted 24 May 1869 by Prince Henry XIV. (Issued 1909 1918). A silver Maltese Cross with rays and a set of crossed swords piercing the center of the cross, obverse with a red enameled central medallion depicting a Gold crowned coat of arms of Reuss, surrounded by a Gold ring, reverse with a black enameled central medallion depicting a Gold crowned royal cipher of Henry XIV, surrounded by
