Montes Alpha Merlot - 2020 (750ml) St. Croix While it’s slightly chocolaty on92 points James Suckling Plush and fruity with rich black cherries, redcurrants and dark chocolate. A pleasant, medium bodied merlot with silky, pastry like tannins on the palate, together with black cherries and black olives. Quite resolved, with fluffy, plummy fruit and a long, delicate finish, showing immediate drinkability. A textbook merlot, mostly from Marchigue with around 10% cabernet sauvignon in the blend.
