Sarracenia bellii Scadoxus Gladiolus 'Mexicana' is a 1967Sarracenia x bellii is a seed strain of a hybrid of Sarracenia leucophylla and Sarracenia rubra ssp. gulfensis, first named in 2008 by our late friend Larry Mellichamp in honor of the late NC botanist, Dr. C. Ritchie Bell. The specimen is based on very rare, naturally occurring plants in Santa Rosa County, Florida.
