The shape of the ceramic vessel is one that calls to mind oil lamps in antiquity. The pewter base in an antique nickel finish complements the ruddy tones in the clay. A design detail of note is the clean lines of the other features on the silver lamp, including the thinness of the base and stem, and the pared down lines of the shade and finial.
