Institution Date: February 12, 1890 by Emperor Meiji. An Order of the Golden Kite, VII Class Badge in silver bearing an open winged gilt falcon atop of the badge, with a plain reverse, measuring at 42. 6mm (w) x 56. 8mm (h inclusive of the suspension ball), weighs 32. 2 grams. It is accompanied by its period ribbon and by a small bow boutineer with a button backing. Both are presented in their original black lacquer case of issue with
