Château Suduiraut 1er Cru Sauternes, 2011 aromatic Tasting Notes: Dark chocolateThis is made from 90% Smillon and 10% Sauvignon Blanc. We would pair it with a peach crumble with vanilla ice cream. 50% of the juice is aged in new barrels while the other is aged in a used barrel for 20 months. It is deep golden yellow in color, with fresh honey and apricot notes on the nose, and an opulent candied lemon, orange, and vanilla. Rich but light, this vintage is known for being extremely fresh and energetic.
