This is our homage to The 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion, nicknamed the "Triple Nickels". It was the first all Black parachute unit in the U. S. Army during World War II. Alden has a history of having made boots for the military in World War II, and a version of this pattern, referred to as a "Jumper Boot A specialized Military Boot designed to protect paratroopers ankles" would have been the boot.
