De boost controller wordt doorgaans gemonteerd tussen de turbo uitgang en de wastegate. De boost in vanaf de turbo zit tegenover de schroef, de boost uit naar de wastegate zit 90 graden ten opzichte van de schroef. De schroef aandraaien verhoogt de boost, de schroef losser draaien
