Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, overlaid by a Luftwaffe eagle in mid flight and clutching a mobile swastika, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a single visible rivet securing the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked, measuring 77. 40 mm (w) x 25.
