the resulting 3' tall x 3' wide specimen is truly amazing

Arisaema thunbergii ssp urashima Silver Seas Gloxinia Starting in late May andArisaema 'Silver Seas' is a Hans Hansen selection of the Japanese Arisaema urashima with a nice glaucous 11 15 lobed horseshoe shaped leaf, each lobe highlighted by a band of silver down the middle. The flower is typical of this offsetting species, emerging in mid April on a short stalk among the foliage with a large black hood, white throat, and long whip like sex organ that'll scare off even the most seasoned pollinator.
