Lunar Ring in Lichen Enamel Size:L½ each measuring approximately 34mmThis sterling silver Lunar ring features a single cup shaped design in a textured silver finish. The ring is hand enamelled in Sheila's 'Lichen' enamel colourway in our Orkney workshop. The cup like design measures approximately 20mm in diameter and sits on a 3mm band. Thousands of years ago at the Ness of Brodgar in Orkney, people carved hollows or cup marks of various sizes in rough rock, perhaps to signify an event or to follow the passage of time
