dated marked "k" (1909) and maker marked "Mn&Wb" (Mappin & Webb) on the reverse

right side has two sliding leather belt loops and one row of ten holes

Germany, Heer. A Krim Shield, Heer Issue United Republic of Gunner Baker was discharged from(Krimschild). Constructed of zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a detailed map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, affixed to a zink backplate with a field grey wool patch, with two of four reverse attachment prongs intact, unmarked, the shield measuring 52. 02 mm (w) x 61. 96 mm (h), in very fine condition.
