They have been hand dyed in soft and mutted tones. The fabric is a nice damasked linen of good medium weight. I have dyed these towels in a bath of red fruits colors, a strawberry red and a deep peach tones. The JC towel is large, embroidered in the top left corner and has a nice damask pattern of arabesques and dots. The DD towel
