Austria, Empire. An Order Of Franz Joseph, Miniature, C.1910 Hold A Second War War Merit(Kaiserlich sterreischischer Franz Joseph Orden). Instituted in 1849. Three piece construction, in silver with red and white enamels, measuring 14. 5 mm (w) x 26 mm (h), flaking evident in the red enamels on the arm at 12 o'clock on the reverse, otherwise the enamels are intact, on its original triangular war ribbon, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Order of Franz Joseph was instituted on December 2, 1849 and awarded for military and civil merit,
