1945 Print Rousseau Notre Dame Paris France Bridge Seine River France Flag FZ7 GH3 42 x 28 cmThis is an original 1945 color print of the view of Notre Dame in Paris, France (Republique Franaise) from across the River Seine. The cathedral was one of the first in the world to utilize flying buttresses, and is considered one of the best examples of European Gothic architecture. The cathedral was completed around 1345, but was unfortunately desecrated during the French Revolution. It was reconstructed in the 19th century by Eugne Violett le Duc.
